Halloween

I just can't wait for Halloween. Not just because it is my FAVORITE holiday but because it is the start of the Holiday Season. After Halloween I don't feel so crazy listening to Christmas music.
I have been working alot lately. I have been working on 1 order for over a month x_X... I know thats terrible but it was a rather large order and my customer wanted something very specific.
I've also been doing some crafting when I have free time and covering lots of beautiful boxes. I always forget to take a picture of the boxes before I give them away as gifts.
I do have some pictures to share of 2 projects i've worked on. The first is a little hanging I made using vintage seam binding, Jenni Bowlin chipboard buttons, Tattered Angels bingo card, Tattered Angels glimmer mist (mimosa), Tim Holtz distress ink (tea stain) and a rosette I made using a coffee filter.

The second is a pumpkin pick in the shape of a bat. I drew the shape of the bat on some black cardstock w/a pencil. I sandwiched 2 pieces together so I could be sure both sides matched up pefect. I glued the 2 sides together w/a bamboo skewer in the middle that I painted black. I then covered the bat w/vintage black glass glitter and tied some seam binding around the skewer. I wanted something to jazz up my pumpkins until I was ready to carve them and this worked out perfect.

Confessions

1.I love Script fonts and if I download anymore my computer is going to EXPLODE!
2.I like taking pictures of Oscar when he sleeps.
3.My Journey station on Pandora is totally rocking my socks tonight.
4.I should be working but I am in the middle of some creative block and a spell of laziness... i'll get to it tommorow.
5.I'm a procrastinator.

Book Of Mason (2)

I have completed a couple more pages for Mason's first year scrapbook. His birthday is only a month away so I really need to get on the ball. Lately he has been watching Horton Hears a Who like crazy... 5-6 times a day. He wants it on all the time even when he is just playing around in the living room. He will stop to watch for a minute and then play some more. He is also starting to stand on his own. He pulls up on everything and hopefully will be walking before his birthday party next month. He is getting so big I cannot believe it has already been a year! We started babysitting him when he was only 2 weeks old and he was so tiny then it was hard to imagine him being this big.
I am also working on a couple of other projects. Covering lots of boxes just for fun right now, but I ordered 5 paper mache scalloped boxes to cover today so I am going to cover them and see how they go over in my Etsy shop.
I covered a round paper mache box in some beautiful pink cupcake wrapping paper that my Mom found at an auction for Jaddens Birthday party Monday but forgot to take a picture. I tied it with some pretty pink grosgrain ribbon(my favorite). I also made a personalized tag/birthday card with a piece from a chipboard album I found at BigLots a while back. I tied it with pink twine and the pink grosgrain and it turned out soooo pretty. I really wish I had taken pictures.
I've also been moving my work space to another room and everything is totally unorganized right now. I need more paper and I have to pick some ink for my printer soon.

Candy Lights

A while back I came across these cute silicone dipped lights called Candy Lights. I wanted some but really didn't have the money to spare at the time. Recently I had a few sales right in a row and I finally had enough extra money in my paypal to order a strand of lights. I got them today and they are just wonderful I love them. I plan to buy atleast 3 more strands for my Marie Antoinette Christmas tree this year. I got the cotton candy ones first they are a beautiful aqua color and were only $11.00 for a 35 light strand. I think next time i'll order 2 strands of the bubblegum and a strand of the buttercream. If your interested you can get the lights here.

The Book Of Mason

My nephew Mason will be 1 in September so for the past 3 months I have been working on The Book Of Mason: Year One or a scrapbook of each month. I am doing 2 pages per month plus an extra page for first's. So far I have completed 10 pages with 18 left to do. I have been using scrapbook kits from Shabby Miss Jenn ... Little Prince & Shabby Babies. I am not sure about the title of the book The Book Of Mason: Year One I was thinking this way I could make one every year with the same title only Year Two and so on. If you have a better idea let me know. I thought i'd start sharing the pages as I complete them, since Mason's Mommy doesn't see my blog I won't be ruining the suprise.
